    The Director of Community services Will be responsible for supporting families and individuals with disabilities living with family or in independent living arrangements. This will include oversight of the Personal Supports, Respite, Self-Direction, and Day program. They will also be responsible for the development and implementation of community education and outreach to better support families. The Director of Community services is responsible for the oversight of the day to day functioning of Family & Personal Supports services.

    Position Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Ensure individuals receiving supports are making progress towards identified goals.
    • Advocate and plan for people with disabilities to live as independently as possible.
    • Ensure individuals and families receive the supports that are customized to their needs.
    • Offer Education & training to families to better equip them to support their loved ones with disability.
    • Partner and connect with other community organizations.
    • Provides regular supervision and annual evaluation for assigned staff.
    • Develops department structures and procedures in accordance with agency objectives and all applicable standards and regulations.
    • Assures staff members are meeting agency, state and federal regulations for required in-service training and certifications.

    Financial Excellence

    • Establishes and maintains positive collaborative relationships with relevant community agencies; represents the agency at community meetings/groups.
    • Continual monitor funded services and assist departments in ensuring that necessary services continue to be funded
    • Assists in the development of program budget; regularly monitors annual program budget to ensure program costs do not exceed budgetary constraints.
    • Completes, maintains and submits required reports and documentation in a timely manner.

    Other duties as assigned

    Education, Training and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree is required in Human Services or related field; Master’s is preferred.
    • Five (5) years of experience working with people with development disabilities and their families.
    • Three-Five (2-6) years of professional leadership experience; Director level preferred
    • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

    Other Requirements

    • Maintenance of all required training under DDA guidelines and Abundant Grace Healthcare Inc policies and procedures
    • Flexibility of scheduling to meet agency and program needs
