This is an immediate opening for a Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience and requires U.S. citizenship. The Construction Project Manager will oversee both on and off-site functions while maintaining direct contact with clients and sub-contractors.

The Construction Project Manager will oversee the construction process from pre-construction through the final walk-through and occupation. This person will work closely with other construction personnel as well as Gordon Prill’s in-house architecture and engineering staff to facilitate proper management of commercial, industrial, lab and high-tech construction projects, often on a fast-track basis. The work involves subcontractor coordination, contract management, construction scheduling, client relations, quality assurance and enforcement of safety policies. Requires knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project capability of managing on-site field activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with in-house architects, engineers, designers, and construction personnel (estimators, superintendents, safety manager)
  • Effectively communicate and negotiate with clients and sub-contractors.
  • Facilitate, coordinate and manage all project aspects – This may require both PM & Supt.

  • Changer Order Management (both Prime Contract and Subcontracts)
  • Invoicing
  • Conduct project meetings with Owners and Subcontractors and publish Minutes
  • Jobsite Safety / Risk Mitigation / Job Hazard Analysis
  • Daily Logs
  • Project Cost Control
  • Document Control
  • Correspondence with all Project “Stake-Holders”
  • Develop on-site QA/QC Program
  • Coordinate Inspections / TCO / Final Occupancy
  • Coordinate final acceptance / Punch list / Warranty

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager with a wide range of project size from $100k to $10M
  • BS in Construction Management, Engineering or similar discipline preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Hands-on field management experience
  • Must be able to review and comprehend project bid documents and project requirements
  • Must be motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, punctual, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work well in a team environment yet also be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be local to SF Bay Area and familiar with local construction markets and contractors
