Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is looking for a qualified motivated Assistant Director of Operations Training at our Mt. Washington location in Baltimore, MD. The Assistant Directo of Operations reports to the Sr. Director of Education and is responsible for practice operations training. Works collaboratively with the Director of Central Operations and other operations leadership. This role requires that the individual actively interact with front-line team members, practice management, subject matter experts and JHM leadership to identify, target, deliver and evaluate specific operations training needs related to patient care and workflow. This includes both EMR and non-EMR related training and education. In this role you will train and educate the Practice Administrator and Medical Office Assistant roles, and includes on-onboarding and ongoing learning and development related to the function of these employees in JHCP/JHM practices.

The Assistant Director Operations Training partners with JHM Patient Access Training to ensure curricula reflect JHCP and JHM policies, procedures, and workflows. Leads development, delivery and evaluation of training and support for standard operating procedures using methods such as classroom training, simulation training, at-the-elbow support, webinars, and online learning modules. Uses evaluation, competencies and internal operational audits to ensure that practice staff are adhering to best practice. Must be innovative and thoughtful identifying delivery mode and location of training to meet the demand of employees impacted by the geographical range of JHCP.

Shift: Full-time – 40 hours per week – Dayshift

Requirements:

  • Requires a professional level of knowledge in applied behavioral science, education, health care administration, management or related field as acquired through the completion of a Master’s Degree.
  • Certifications in healthcare administration, project management, organizational learning, distance learning a plus. The indidivual must be willing to complete certification that demonstrator expertise in EHR and Operations areas of concentration.
  • Work requires five (5) years of demonstrated performance and/or consulting experience to include but not limited to technical training, needs assessment and analysis, training design/development and delivery, group process and other interventions. At least (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting or program management. Work experience in technical training (electronic registration, scheduling and electronic medical records (EMR)/electronic health record (EHR) applications) needs assessment and analysis, training design/development and delivery, group process and other interventions is preferred.
