Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the ASC Industry
- Direct and supervise the administrative functions of the Center, the Business Office and support staff
- Provide oversight of the daily operations, including the provision of clinical care
- Provide assistance to supervisory personnel in establishing the following department philosophy of the Center, objectives related to staffing and performance standards of the Center, developing, implementing and maintaining Center policies and procedures
- Provide authoritative recommendations with regard to recruitment, hiring, onboarding, development, retention and dismissal
- Develop the annual operating and special budgets for the Center for approval of the Board and monitor monthly financial performance against such budgets
- Coordinate the long-range financial and strategic development of the Center
- Represent the Center in its relationships with third party payers and negotiate reimbursement schedules, subject to the approval of the company
- Develop and maintain current policies and procedures to facilitate operations and meet safety and regulatory requirements
- Oversee capital equipment purchases and facility maintenance
- Obtain appropriate insurance coverage for the Center’s operations, including malpractice and facility business liability insurance
- Handle employee grievances per policies adopted by the company for the Center
- Handle patient grievances according to policy
- Oversee the company and Center’s compliance with all applicable state and federal statutes and requirements
- In collaboration with the Medical Director, identify quality monitoring and improvement plan and provide regular reports to the Quality Committee, Board of Manager’s and Surgery Center Staff
- Establish agendas for all committee/meetings
- Ensures the provision of cost-conscious medical services by the acquisition, utilization and organization of resources human, financial and physical
- Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep current in the latest trends in Ambulatory Surgery Centers
- Handle such other duties as may be assigned to the Administrative Director from time to time by the Board
- Is the Compliance and Risk Manager for the Surgery Center
- Maintain and comply with all state and federal laws and regulations regarding HIPAA and Compliance

- Knowledge and ability to effectively manage day to day operations
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills
- Sound situational awareness with the ability to adapt as necessary
- Ability to respond promptly and appropriately to all business and personnel situations as they arise
- Strong understanding of ambulatory surgery center operations, healthcare systems operations and the larger healthcare environment
- Knowledge of performance improvement processes
- Knowledge of surgical nursing principals and protocols
Education:
- Registered Nurse with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field required. Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, business or related discipline preferred
Experience:
- Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience in surgical services operations
