Marquee Sports Network is the future exclusive television home of the Chicago Cubs in partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group (Nasdaq: SBGI). Marquee Sports Network has a great new opportunity for a Vice President of Technical Operations looking to join the exciting world of sports programming and television.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include:
- Oversee the planning, management, installation, and maintenance of the networks technical infrastructure: studios, transmitters, digital production platforms and automated systems.
Requirements:
- Ability to deploy in the field to coordinate special events as it relates to production and transmission
- Must possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and costs associated with procuring equipment and adherence to operating budgets
- Develop, manage and adjust capital facilities planning to anticipate business needs
- Assure 24-7 technical and operational integrity for the TV and digital operations with emphasis on error-free operations
- Strong oral and written communications skills; ability to collaborate interdepartmentally
- Minimum 10 years’ of broadcast troubleshooting in a sports and/or broadcast network environment, preferably in a Sports network environment
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in TV Studio Production
- Ability to oversee studio and control room technologies (cameras, LED displays, lenses, mics, IFB, PL), editing, intercom, graphics, automation, robotics and audio systems.
- Performs well in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to perform daily responsibilities swiftly, accurately and comprehensively
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, weekends & holidays as needed
