Position Summary:

Institute for Integrative Nutrition is seeking an exceptional Vice President of Sales (VP of Sales) for our sales efforts. The VP of Sales is responsible for leading the sales team strategy, structure, and processes to help drive revenue growth.


As the Vice President of Sales, you will:

  • Assess, define and implement a world-class online education sales initiative within the sales organization structure
  • Drive and support inbound/outbound sales team and referral channels
  • Coach, mentor, manage and lead a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Oversee and manage all sales initiatives; track pipeline, call-logs, achieve and exceed agreed revenue targets
  • Develop and administer sales programs, including proactively identifying program elements that build awareness, generate qualified leads, generate incremental growth, drive customer satisfaction and loyalty, and maximize impact
  • Establish meaningful relationships with executive leaders and other stakeholders within the sales organization
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and product business leaders to ensure optimal support of sales activity
  • Plan and manage the team resources, ensuring they are efficiently deployed to support a broad range of customers
  • Participate in health and wellness industry events/organizations as a thought leader and promote products/business solutions at conferences, forums and seminars
  • Operate within expense and program budgets

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven success in building and scaling a sales team in the online sales space, preferably within the education and/or membership services
  • Inside/outside experience in sponsorship and media/business development
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, preferably within education and/or membership services
  • 4+ years leading and managing a sales team
  • High energy with a great track record of working collaboratively with internal and external parties across all the company to drive collective success and has built key relationships, managed and mentored a sales team
  • Demonstrates forward-thinking approaches to selling techniques in a rapidly changing environment
  • Proven leadership skills in program/project management and ability to develop and manage a budget
  • Excellent skills in complex problem solving, project management, change management, & group process. Must exhibit efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness, & results orientation
  • Experience with Salesforce, inContact, and other sales related software
