POSITION SUMMARY

This position is for a full time Survey Project Manager working with our Dundee Survey Group. The Project Manager will provide professional oversite for various projects undertaken by the company, as well as developing a personal network of clients and projects. This position will have a core focus on growing the Dundee Survey area, while providing quality service and exceptional client care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall performance and growth of a standalone survey group performing a wide range of services
  • Manages field operations and directs work of survey field crews and office personnel
  • Provides quality control and quality assurance on all project work
  • Prepares and monitors project budgets and billings
  • Responsible for client management on projects
  • Participates in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers
  • Meets with prospective clients to understand project needs and schedules
  • Pursues new clients and projects through business development activities and client development
  • Oversees field survey data through use of conventional and Global Positioning System methods
  • Provides staff mentorship
  • Performs at a high level and achieves revenue and chargeability goals established by supervisor
  • Continues Spicer Group’s legacy of delivering quality survey products on time and within budget

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in surveying
  • Registered Professional Surveyor (P.S.)
  • 5+ years of field surveying experience with major infrastructure project experience
  • Experience leading survey teams and working directly with clients
  • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Microstation (Geopak), Laser scanning a plus

  • You have established relationships with potential clients in the industry
  • You have experience with MDOT survey procedures
