Manages a diverse team of sales professionals, including Sales managers and Solution Engineering Mangers. Owns P&L accountability for the Internet of Things (IOT) accounts across the Sprint channels. Develops IOT custom solutions utilizing the IOT Ecosystems and partners with the IOT product development team at Sprint. Responsible for growing and targeting partnerships with businesses and OEMs that will certify their devices on the Sprint network. Manages the coordination of activities with responsibility for sales results in terms of costs, methods, and employees. Establishes relationships with the localized area leadership teams to drive IOT business with the small/medium and enterprise business sales channels. Manages all aspects of the solution engineering team, including pre-sale and post-sale technical engineering support. Provides technical expertise and supports processes to facilitate product/service implementation and to identify and satisfy customer needs. Manages the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for goals, objectives, operational policies. Participates in the development of functional strategy. Has responsibility for hiring, termination, performance and salary decisions.
Broad-based business and technology expert with 12+ years in either alliance management, consulting, or sales with a track record of driving successful business development activities, negotiation skills and business modelling. Can quickly establish key executive relationships internally and with partners to define, create and implement B2B strategies that address revenue accelerations and customer success. Strategic thinker who is able to blend consulting and business strategy to develop compelling plans for new partner initiatives, that support revenue goals and drive customer success. Good knowledge of relevant technology and applications products/solutions, IoT, platforms and SaaS.Driving is an essential function of the job. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license (may not be learner’s, restricted or “to and from work” license) and three consecutive years of active driving history immediately preceding the application that meets Sprint’s driver standards. This information will be verified in a Motor Vehicle Report. Applicants must also successfully complete driver’s safety training and otherwise comply with Sprint’s Driver Safety Policy and guidelines. Many positions are eligible for a company car based upon mileage and territory. Sprint company cars are authorized for personal use.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and ten years related work experience or fourteen years related work experience post high school
- Ten years experience with sales management
- Five years of progressive management experience
- Two years of IOT solutions sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Ten years experience sales management within telecommunications, electronics, or high technology
