Overview of Job Function:
The Senior Manager, Product Engineering will lead a product engineering team of about 10 to 15 Engineers, located in different global locations. The Senior Manager will be responsible for a number of core SW components within the platform of an enterprise level SW solution.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

Manage the software development function.

Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures.

Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and execute on software development needs including design, development, and documenting and testin new and existing software.

Evaluate results within business unit to determine if organizational objectives are being met.

Analyze and resolve software development issues and needs in terms of the software’s full life cycle.

Resolve critical issues and contribute to the business unit/area development.

Excellent knowledge of the field with strong leadership skills.

Manages the work efforts of managers/supervisors. Hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Has a minimum of 10+ years of overall engineering experience in a large organization or functional group including a minimum of 6 years of management and leadership experience.

Experience with agile development methodologies and the transformation to agile within a large-scale development organization.

Strong leadership, project management, time management, and problem solving skills.

Experience scaling software solutions to support large-scale enterprise solution deployments.

Experience with scoping engineering projects and delivering projects on time and within scope and budget; experience in appropriately and effectively allocating assigned resources to meet competing priorities.

Ability to establish and communicate work objectives for department, translating business requirements into engineering projects with specific requirements & scope, resources and project timing.

Ability to lead team of managers and professionals, including staffing and workforce planning decisions for department. Track record of hiring, developing and retaining strong teams. Proven success developing individuals for the next step in their career. Manage a globally distributed team.

Track record of managing through complex organizational change with a focus on maintaining people engagement.

Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.

The ability to obtain the necessary credit line required to travel.
Preferred Requirements:

Familiarity developing within the Windows eco-system a plus

Experience with call center infrastructure in complex enterprise deployments

Experience in the telecom industry
