Purpose:
The successful Senior Product Implementation Project Manager and Clinical Consultant candidate will have extensive experience and strong aptitude in two domains: project management and clinical workflow. The ideal candidate will have experience improving workflow and implementing RDx solutions at large hospitals. This position is the customer facing focal point for moderate to complex implementations of the companyâs Respiratory Technologies products and clinical services. This involves extensive customer interaction and relationship development at the Director/Key Stakeholder level. In this role, you will work with multiple customer stakeholders to understand the customer workflow, devise an improved workflow leveraging the capabilities of our products, and follow-through to manage the implementation of your designed solution. This includes working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to arrange for the delivery, upgrade, configuration, integration, testing, and implementation of the proposed solution. As a senior member of the Vyaire implementation team, you will also actively mentor team members to leverage your exceptional expertise across the team.
Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities
Technical Consulting – 35%
Meeting with customers to understand their current workflow, design improved workflows, and assist with implementing that improved workflow as part of the entire solution being implemented.
Project Management – 45%
Managing the clinical and technical project once purchased from creating the kick-off brief to conducting lessons learned and obtaining project close-out sign-offs. Work will include creating documentation (Schedules, test plans, system diagrams, etc.), hosting regular calls with customer stakeholders, and resolving issues as they occur, always mindful of cost, schedule, and risk.
Technical Mentoring – 10%
Providing expert guidance and instruction to colleagues in a specific functional domain for which you are the recognized team expert.
Administrative activity – 10%
Perform other duties as assigned, including required training.
Requirements of the position include:
- Guide the review of customer site assessment and facilitate project design and implementation of RDx products and technologies
- Develop project plans customized to each implementation
- Chair internal meetings to ensure alignment of schedules for workflow analysis, product installation, training, and EMR interfaces
- Provide customers expert guidance concerning RDx workflow and Project Management
- Establish communications cadence with customers to ensure requirements and timelines are met, including providing regular status updates
Travel â up to 25%
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Initiate, plan, & control all assigned projects
- Manage multiple concurrent projects
- Collaborate with multiple functions, while always owning project results
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of RDx product workflow processes, clinical device settings, interface validation (ADT, Orders, ORM), user account role design
- Complete Pulmonary lab and Sleep lab pre-implementation assessments and future state design
- Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to aid customers in improving current business/practice operations including standardization across large hospital and IDN level health systems
- Create and present internal training material to colleagues to improve team capabilities
Qualifications:
- Nationally recognized PMP certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a primary Project Manager
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Experience within medical product environment preferred
- Ability to self-prioritize work, work both independently, and work as part of a team
- Ability to use soft-skills to lead teams of internal matrixed resources and customer resources
- Registered Respiratory Therapist or prior related clinical or technical experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a pulmonary lab
- 3-5 years of experience as a consultant
- Additional experience in Sleep Testing, Infant Pulmonary Function Testing or Hospital Information Technology/Networking is a plus
- Must have Previous Respiratory Diagnostics experience or Exercise Physiology education and experience
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio)
- Customer service, problem solving and analytical skills required
- Ability to communicate effectively, excellent presentation skills, and good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and peers
- Deep expertise in one or more functional sub-domains of the implementation process (Reports, predicted sets, macros, templates, scheduling, architecture, data flow, risk management, project control, training, etc.)
