Responsibilities Include:
  • Works with the Product owner to align team with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information
  • Creates an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
  • Champions continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coaches teams to conduct continuous improvements events.
  • Seeks opportunities for improvement to the overall effectiveness of teams and organization
  • Communicates organizational impediments to leadership; clears impediments for the team
  • Embraces the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instills the same in the team(s) you coach

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of Project Management experience with at least 3 years in leading Agile teams as a Scrum Master
  • Expertise in one or more other Agile frameworks (Lean, Kanban, XP, TDD, CI) and how they can be applied in a product development / program delivery environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels without direct authority.
  • Able to leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution and more to serve the teams.
  • Familiarity with modern software engineering tchniques such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, Test-Driven Development and other automated acceptance testing techniques
  • Ability to coach and mentor the team to realize their highest potential
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing, fluid and dynamic environment
  • Facilitate product backlog maintenance, release and sprint planning, story writing and backlog prioritization.
  • Motivate and enable the delivery teams to be self-organized and feel empowered
  • Ability to listen, analyze, influence, negotiate and use judgment to solve complex issues in order to accomplish project goals
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence is desirable.
  • Agile or Project Management-related certification (Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional, Project Management Professional) is desirable.
  • Must have worked with software development teams to deliver highly distributed and scalable systems and understands the system architecture, data and control workflow and technologies used
