Responsibilities
Aerospace is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support multiple teams in its information technology (IT) group. As part of an ongoing agile transformation, there are now more than 15 agile teams in the group managing their work through either Scrum or Kanban. These groups perform different kinds of IT work, including infrastructure, operations, application administration, software development, and more.
Scrum Masters act as team facilitators and perform a variety of activities to support and improve team performance and effectiveness. They remove obstacles for the team, facilitate events, and promote and support the Scrum work management process as defined in the Scrum Guide. They act as subject-matter experts on Scrum and lead and coach teams in their adoption of the process.

Key Functions:
  • Serve as an advocate for agile teams throughout the work planning and execution process and assist them in meeting work and quality commitments.
  • Identify and remove impediments for the team or individual members to improve team efficiency.
  • Facilitate agile events (e.g., daily standup meetings, sprint demonstration, sprint retrospectives, sprint planning)
  • Interface with the team members, the team product owner, and stakeholders outside the team.
  • Coach teams to improve performance, effectiveness, and the use of agile methods.
  • Demonstrate behavior that is consistent with the Company’s values of Dedication to Mission Success, Technical Excellence, Commitment to Our People, Objectivity and Integrity, and Innovation.
Qualifications
Required for Scrum Master II
  • Three or more years of relevant experience, including 1+ year of experience acting as a Scrum Master (or equivalent role, e.g., Kanban Coach) for an agile team OR 3+ years in a project/program management role
  • Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM from Scrum Alliance, Professional Scrum Master from scrum.org, PMI-ACP, or equivalent)
  • Deep understanding of Scrum process and agile principles
  • Experience in leadership through influence (e.g., without formal authority)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • This role will require a secret clearance that is issued by the US government and US citizenship is required.
Required for Scrum Master III
  • Six or more years of relevant experience, including 2+ years of experience acting as a Scrum Master (or equivalent role, e.g., Kanban Coach) for an agile team OR 5+ years in a project/program management role
  • Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM from Scrum Alliance, Professional Scrum Master from scrum.org, PMI-ACP, or equivalent)
  • Deep understanding of Scrum process and agile principles
  • Experience in leadership through influence (e.g., without formal authority)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • This role will require a secret clearance that is issued by the US government and US citizenship is required.
Preferred
  • Advanced Scrum Master certification (e.g., Advanced CSM from Scrum Alliance or equivalent)
  • Previous experience serving as a Scrum Master
  • Experience with computer-based agile work management tools
  • Experience or knowledge in the domains of work practiced by the Scrum Teams (e.g., information technology, software development)
  • Certifications and other experience in project management
