Seeking experienced political campaign organizers to serve as Regional Field Directors on significant 2020 CA statewide initiative campaign. Full-time positions begin in late-2019/early-2020 and run through November, 2020.

Job type: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Responsibilities include:

  • Educating, recruiting and activating key stakeholders in extensive field operation
  • Working directly with state field director on outreach strategy and tactics
  • Executing organizing plan using online and offline methods, including extensive phone, text and email solicitations and recruitment
  • Coordinating coalition events to inform stakeholders and solicit feedback
  • Managing relationships with regional supporters
  • Assisting campaign leadership on recruiting and training earned, paid and social media surrogates
  • Implementing regional field and GOTV plan
  • Assisting in the development of a reporting framework and updating key leaders on a regular basis
  • Managing Deputy Field Director(s)

Key qualifications include:

  • 4-6 years of experience in direct grassroots organizing and field operations for political and/or advocacy campaigns
  • Training in grassroots advocacy and field operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ease with public speaking and comfort utilizing in-person, phone, and digital communications to communicate with key audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a team and prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with geographical region
  • Valid California driver’s license, active insurance, and access to a car
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment is a plus

Hiring on rolling basis, with work to begin by January. Background check is required. The position is temporary and will end in November 2020.
