Purchasing Manager (Canby, OR)
The CET team is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager. We offer excellent growth opportunity, stable contracts and a competitive benefit and compensation package.
Responsibilities and Duties
The purchasing manager (PM) is responsible for sourcing all material used in the plant and oversees processes outsourced in the router. The PM would oversee a team of buyers and clerks that would execute these tasks.
- Establish purchase orders and LTAs with suppliers
- Ensure that materials arrive on time to support the master production schedule
- Implement strategies to reduce supplier lead times
- Develop and execute strategies to reduce costs and stock outs
- Manage supplier performance to delivery, quality, and cost metrics
- Provide supplier feedback regarding non-conformances
- Establish systems for tracking / managing inventory levels
- Ensure ITAR compliance
- Ensure compliance with import / export laws
- Develop reliable and cost effective shipping logistics
Qualifications
- BA/BS in business / supply chain management
- 7 years experience in supply chain management
- Experience with Lockheed Martin procurement a plus
- 4 years in leadership role
- Project management experience preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and tools
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management and change management preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products with heavy emphasis on Excel
- Strong negotiation skills
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Experience with ERP systems
