Role:

Manages projects for the Credit Union, Identifies project team members, manages project budget and resources, develops formal project plan, runs and documents project meetings, reports on project status, manages performance of team members, ensures project is completed on time and on budget. Uses project planning architecture in managing project, and provides guidance and assistance to teams as requested. Leads the planning and implementation of enterprise wide projects by applying the use of systems analysis techniques.

Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining project plans including details relating to resources required, timelines, schedules, budgets, and communication.

Coordinates and oversees work performed by project team members. Works closely with related departments to maintain schedules and provide input for deadlines and requirements.

Continually monitors the progress of all projects against established goals and timelines using Microsoft Project or other industry-leading tools

Provides continuous communication on project status to all appropriate parties.

Performance Measurements:

1.

Implements project plans as directed by senior management team including project resources required, timelines, schedules, budgets, and communication.

2.

Monitors plan progress against established goals and timelines ensuring on time completion within established time frames.

3.

Provides project updates to senior management team and project team on project status. Updates project timelines as needed to ensure project implementation.

4.

Coordinates with project team members and departments to ensure project needs are met between departments and to maintain schedules. Work with team to resolve escalating issues when resource issues/conflicts arise.

5.

Lead weekly project meetings and set expectations for project teams while maintaining project budget.

6.

To stay current and comply with all federal and state regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Controls ( OFAC ) and all credit union policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

Five to eight years of similar or related experience managing projects.
Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
Proficiency in project management software tools including Microsoft Project.

Education

Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree.

Interpersonal Skills

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Critical thinking and problem solving, Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities, Contract negotiation
Conflict resolution experience, Adaptability, Able to tolerate stress, Must be able to work independently.

Other Skills

Theoretical and practical project management knowledge
Knowledge of techniques and tools related to project management
Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
Proficiency in project management software tools
Experience in working with financial IT systems
Demonstrated success at putting together project plans at other companies (preferably financial institution)
