Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the coordination of the Cooperative’s transmission construction projects. This role ensures the timely and quality development of project deliverables, evaluates project status, and partners with key business leaders to resolve issues.
East River Electric is a not-for-profit generation and transmission cooperative with a service area that covers 40,000 square miles. We deliver wholesale power to our members, which include 24 rural electric distribution cooperatives and one municipally-owned electric system in eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota. Our members, in turn, power the properties of the member-owners in their service territories. We believe cooperatives help build stronger communities.

Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure construction projects are completed on time and on budget
- Develop reports and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with key work groups to identify risks and implement appropriate initiatives
- Ensure proper use of tools to track and monitor project deliverables
- Create and augment new project management processes and best practices
Key Skills/Requirements include:
- Demonstrated project management skills and success
- Ability to foster collaboration and gain support and buy-in
- Self-directed to drive results
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
- Five years of project management experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems and MS Office products
