The primary purpose of this job is to be accountable for one or more projects. The position manages the critical day-to-day operational elements of assigned programs/projects including and not limited to project vision/objectives, financials, scope, quality, schedule, resourcing, vendor management dependencies, risks, status reporting, stakeholder engagement, and business readiness/organizational change management.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing credit union special projects and tasks under the direction of the VP, Project Management Office (PMO); ensures compliance with all applicable policies, programs, laws and regulations and analyzes verbal or statistical data for report preparation for use by credit union management. The incumbent will provide input to and oversight for lesser-experienced team members to assist with project delivery. The Project Manager will proactively identify and act on opportunities to improve team culture and project implementation success. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in projects.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and Implement projects.
  • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Define tasks and required resources.
  • Establish and manage project teams.
  • Manage projects within budget.
  • Allocate project resources.
  • Create schedule and project timeline.
  • Track deliverables.
  • Support and direct team.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts.
  • Monitor, report, and present on project progress to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outcomes.
  • Evaluate and assess results of project, to include lessons learned.
  • Identify project risks, deadlines, and potential scheduling conflicts.
  • Support, engage, and collaborate with business unit staff and managers.
  • Accurately indicate task status for all assigned projects in the project management tool.
  • Populate and manage all aspects of completing Independent Contractors Agreements (ICA), Statements of Work (SOWs), and other necessary documents (W-9’s, disclosures, SSAE16, etc.) for all external resources/vendors involved in the credit union’s programs
  • Collaborate with Compliance and /or external counsel to facilitate the resolution of contract edits/requested changes.
  • Create and populate new project details accurately into project management software.
  • Maintain friendly and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through clear articulation and an effective communication style.
  • Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; and identifying work process improvements.
  • Monitor expenses; implement cost-saving actions.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and staying abreast of project management industry trends.
  • Analyze existing enterprise processes/systems and identify ways to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Partner with the business leaders to develop and implement end-to-end processes that meet business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation based on customer feedback and user voice.
  • Facilitate process mapping workshops, training and coaching individuals and teams involved in process improvement.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent years of relevant project or administrative support experience required.
  • MS Product Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and Outlook).
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability and desire to meet project, task, and/or assignment deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, and in group setting.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and very high energy with a willingness to accept varied assignments.
  • Extreme focus on accuracy, attention to detail and consistency of work.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
