The President, Robern will lead the Robern business – responsible for driving the profitable growth of the business, establishing strategic objectives and operating plans, leading a team to execute, and attracting and developing talent. There is a huge opportunity for business growth through improved control of Robern’s sales channels, curating the most compelling luxury medicine cabinet, vanity and bath mirror product assortment in the industry, and building an agile manufacturing and sourcing-based supply chain.
The President will lead the following direct team members:
- Vice President – Business Development
- Director – Operations
- Controller
- Manager – Human Resources
In addition, s/he will work closely with peers across the Kohler Co. family, including fellow business unit leaders, strategic planning, human resources, finance, public affairs, advertising, law and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to meet short-term and long-term business growth targets
- Lead the team to consistently deliver key business results – financial, customer delight, innovation, safety, team engagement, social responsibility
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business – product development, manufacturing, sourcing, sales, marketing, HR, finance
- Build strong relationships with Robern’s customers, channel partners and suppliers
- Develop a strong talent organization to ensure solid leadership succession
- Drive team engagement throughout the organization to ensure excellent individual and business performance
- Represent Robern as an outstanding member of the business community through active membership of industry associations
- Promote internal control measures that safeguard Kohler Co. assets, ensure the accuracy of accounting data, and adhere to prescribed Kohler Co. policies and programs
- Participate as a member of the President’s leadership team, providing counsel on major issues and identifying opportunities to grow the broader Kohler luxury businesses

Skills/Requirements
An ideal candidate for the President, Robern position will have the following:
- Demonstrated track record of leading a complex, multi-dimensional business with a minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a design-led, manufacturing company (ideally in the cabinet, vanity and/or mirrors segment, or in the broader kitchen and bath segment)
- Reputation for both strategy development and flawless execution
- Proven team leadership, talent development, change leadership and engagement skills
- Overseen new product development and a supply chain, which includes in-house manufacturing and external sourcing
- Track record of P&L leadership and creating margin-accretive growth in a similar business
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus
- Ability to travel is required
