We are seeking an accomplished marketing leader to manage a team of event marketers as part of the global advertising marketing and training team. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative and dedicated to continually testing, measuring, and evolving your strategic and sales enablement event programs.
This role will manage a team of event marketers that focus on engaging advertising customers at events, both large and small in scale. Specifically, this role is responsible for developing the annual global event strategy and activation plan, scoping event proposals for leadership, overseeing the team budget, partnering with stakeholders teams to drive strategic and locale-based event marketing plans, and owning event metrics to evaluate impact to the business. The day-to-day of this role includes managing an operating plan, event calendar, developing new event recommendations, managing a team that executes logistics and project manages events, and interfacing with executives and customers frequently. To be successful you will need to establish clear processes, have high attention to detail, set prioritization, ruthlessly measure event effectiveness, and be able to write and communicate effectively. The right candidate will be a self-starter and have strong interpersonal, project management, and analytical skills. This role manages a large team of event marketers around the globe, and requires travel.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build and lead team responsible for global event marketing
- Work cross-functionally with marketing and training teams, product, sales, insights and analysts, legal, and PR to deliver high quality event programs
- Continually raise the bar and propose new events, and garner learnings across strategic and sales enablement events to iterate over time
- Understand the advertising industry and develop new event ideas that could delight customers in a surprising and fun way, while remaining frugal
- Develop mechanisms, processes, and measurement of all events to understand what is working and what needs improvement
- Own operations and prioritization of event resources; conduct monthly business reviews and annual resource planning
- Move easily between generating big, creative ideas and driving ongoing process improvement.
- Ability to identify global stakeholder needs, implement prioritization
- Frequently presenting to leadership; including scoping new proposals, program reviews for in-process events, and post-event evaluations
- Proven skills in building strong team culture
- MBA or related masters
- Digital advertising and advertising technology experience
- SQL skills
