You are a strategic, analytical thinker steeped in institutional investing. You have a passion for the industry and deep understanding of market themes, investor objectives and what sparks their behavior. You are relentless about detail and excel at turning business insight and complex concepts into points of view that resonate with clients at the world’s most sophisticated investment firms.
You will report to the Global Head of Brand, Design and Content and work collaboratively to champion our brand and connect the dots across Marketing disciplines. You will enable and guide the creation, delivery and governance of though-provoking content to ensure our audiences are compelled to learn what we think and offer.
Skills:
- Deep understanding of the financial industry, financial markets and institutional financial services
- Knowledge of the challenges and needs of asset owners, asset managers, alternative asset managers, insurance companies and official institutions
- Proven ability to generate compelling points of view, content ideas and strategies that will guide content creation across print and digital media (including web, social, video, etc.)
- Proficient in brand positioning and storytelling
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Thorough understanding of marketing analytics and optimization programs
- Familiarity with the latest trends in financial content creation, storytelling and user engagement
- Knowledge of brand strategy is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Lead Editorial Board meetings comprised of senior subject matter experts from across State Street
- Develop content strategies that elevate our brand and engage our audiences in our differentiated message
- Create, and manage Marketing’s content calendar and schedule
- Guide content creators and managers in the planning, development and distribution of campaigns, insight pieces, blog posts, direct digital communications and more
- Interact with senior executives, business subject matter experts, sales teams and marketing leads
- Contribute to Marketing’s strategic planning process, enabling alignment of marketing programs and content with business goals
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, marketing or equivalent
- At least 10 years developing content strategy in the financial industry, preferably for institutional investment firms
