Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience with sales management in technology and/or advertising/internet industry
  • Experience in team management

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA
  • 5 years of leadership experience in an operational role in a technology or marketing firm, or equivalent experience in management consulting or corporate strategy
  • Experience designing and driving operational cadence
  • Experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives. Excellent business judgment
  • Experience leading go-to-market strategy for Global digital products
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Technology Platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, Google Display Ads, Google Analytics)

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Next Billion Users (NBU) Head of Commercial Operations helps drive strategic programs for NBU products – everything from testing customer demand during product pilots to scaling through our Sales organization as the business grows As Head of Commercial Operations, you will work across multiple cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will work with NBU functional leadership to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for multiple NBU businesses and advocates for key business needs to product. You will support Sales teams to deliver on ambitious goals to exceed business and merchant growth targets across markets and verticals. You are an excellent communicator with an ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an analytical approach to sales management. Finally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Strategy and Operations, Legal, Finance, and act as the voice of NBU customers.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with frontline business teams and executives to understand the key needs of the business and how those should be supported through tool enhancements and process improvements.
  • Ensure consistent, coherent, and flawless execution of account moves, processes and data/infrastructure throughout the various use cases and applications as required by the business.
  • Structure and package the team’s work into compelling presentations and communications that influence various audiences including senior executives.
  • Manage a global Operations team and engage with cross-functional talent to deliver insights, ideas and customer service that drives business growth for our clients and for Google.
  • International travel required
