BAE Systems, Inc. is offering exciting opportunities to join one of the USAF’s largest and most important acquisition programs-the Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program, which will replace the current Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This position centers on advising, supporting, assisting and facilitating the System Program Office (SPO) in the planning and strategizing for upcoming GBSD acquisition milestones and contracts. It requires logical, creative thought processes and the ability to implement program leadership decisions. The GBSD Reentry System (RS) team is the principle conduit for the RS portion of acquisition and strategic planning and preparation for the GBSD acquisition milestones. Specifically, this position will provide direct support to the RS government customers. This position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the RS Section including status tracking, meeting support, schedule development and management. The Project Manager will be expected to provide organizational expertise to the government customer to manage day to day tasking within the branch. This position interacts with staff and senior leaders in OSD, HAF, AFGSC, and the DOE, and coordinates and integrates actions between program managers, senior engineers, logisticians, testers, and external agencies.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education

Six years experience within the ICBM or GBSD Program Office

Must have at least a Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years

Experience with Microsoft Office products

Support government engineering in performing “deep dives” into historical documentation

Experience in researching drawings, specifications and Interface Control Documents (ICD’s)

Reviewing technical data to ensure integrity

Working knowledge of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)

Experience in supporting day to day operations in a classified environment
