Overview

Sevatec, Inc. is looking for talented Senior IT Project Manager to provide support on our GSA COMET contract. The candidate will be a motivated and energetic PM who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work. The PM will work closely with our Senior Developers and Lead Designer to bounce ideas off of each other and assigned clients, to deliver an outstanding final project. The candidate should possess an accredited Agile Certification, such as a Certified Scrum Master or a Certified Agile Practitioner (ACP) and have a deep understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day operational aspects of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Deliver biweekly releases across multiple product lines with high-quality, no impact deployments.
  • Understand user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements in line with FICAM standards.
  • Prepare project roadmap and project plan and drives the team to meet the milestones in the schedule.
  • Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships.
  • Manage multiple agile teams and maximize their ability to deliver quickly and respond to emerging requirements.
  • Prepare long and short-range plans for task activities and for necessary support resources.
  • Provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
  • Establish goals and plans that meet project objective and contractually obligated requirements. Deliver those requirements in a timely manner.
  • Track project deliverables and ensure.
  • Work closely with the Business Owners, COR and the IT PM and keep them updated on the progress of the tasks.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans to address issues.
  • Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years leading complex IT programs.
  • Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge.
  • Provides daily supervision and direction to support staff.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and support personnel and be able to resolve issues with the customer in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes stakeholder needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and support personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to resolve technological problems.
  • Must possess an accredited Agile certification, such as Certified Scrum master or Certified Agile Practitioner.
  • Must possess a [PMI-PMP and PMI-ACP] or [CSM] or [PMI-PMP and Scaled Agile SAFe Advanced Scrum Master]
