Directs the department’s activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. The Director of Quality provides comprehensive assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluation of all activities related to the quality, patient safety, risk, infection prevention and regulatory.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Bachelorâs degree Required Master’s degree x Preferred
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Required Licenses: Valid Arizona or Compact States nursing license.
Minimum Work Experience
Knowledge of Joint Commission standards with a minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in a clinical or administrative management role.
Two (2) years experience in healthcare risk management or quality management. Related healthcare experience in leadership positions, public speaking, quality/performance improvement, and/or related hospital clinical experience is important to the successful performance of this position.
