JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Supply chain reports to the President in Fort Myers, FL. This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, energetic person looking to continue their career in a fast-paced, dynamic growing company in the renewable energy industry. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong people management skills and a desire to help TerraSmart and his/her team members succeed. S/he has extensive experience in supply chain management and steel or commodities markets.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Lead the supply chain process for TerraSmart, a leading innovative solution provide in the renewable energy space.
  • Strategic leadership of the Procurement Group within the organization including cooperative relations with partners, sales, and other internal resources.
  • Forecast material for our suppliers based on sales funnel information in Salesforce.com & manage demand forecasting system.
  • Optimize relationships with suppliers to reduce risk and drive enhancements to net margin.
  • Align material management, inventory and reporting strategies with key business objectives, driving results to profit plan targets.
  • Identify root cause analysis to understand demand plan error in prior periods, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze and identify process improvements within Supply Chain to support the creation of a robust supply planning function to support continuous improvement in the total Supply Chain.
  • Coordinate and manage supplier purchase ordering processes.
  • Work with inventory management specialist to ensure accurate inventory counts.
  • Support inventory turnover analysis with Accounting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required, business focus preferred, supply chain, or another technical field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in related field.
  • Experience/understanding of global logistics.
  • Relevant experience negotiating agreements with vendors and contract manufacturers / vendors.
  • Ability to multi-task, cross-departmental functions.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of our functional team.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
  • NetSuite Experience a plus.
