Havenwood is a new senior community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Care Suite apartments in a friendly neighborhood setting.
Havenwood of Burnsville is recruiting for an experienced Director of Life Enrichment/Activities to plan and implement creative individualized and group activity programs to meet the resident’s social, physical, intellectual, emotional and sensory needs. Responsibilities include:
- planning, promoting, budgeting and facilitating events with the cooperation and assistance of Life Enrichment Assistants, volunteers and employees
- supervising Life Enrichment Assistants
- managing volunteer program and supervising volunteers
Schedule:
Full-time, including some evening and weekend activities.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorâs degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field
- Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain within three months
- One year activities experience, specifically memory care activity planning and implementation in an independent retirement or long-term care setting
- Sensitivity to resident needs and enjoy regularly working with older adults
- One year supervisory experience, providing work direction and performance evaluation of employees
- Computer literate in multiple Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of or ability to learn electronic health record systems
