The primary responsibilities of the Project Manager is to develop individual project plans complete with budgetary information and resource needs to support the installation of infrastructure including but not limited to racks, cabinets, cage walls, hot/cold isle containment, grounding, fiber pathways, Unistrut, and ladder rack, and structured cabling. Oversee and maintain control of inside plant (ISP) activities surrounding the assigned work site(s), read and understand ISP diagrams/drawings, and lead projects to completion within allocated budget.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Detail oriented in both providing leadership and direction to team members as well as factoring costs associated with customer quotes while understanding and adhering to customer timelines.
  • Build and maintain a customer base with new and existing clients, identifying prospective customers and serve as the initial contact to determine viability and desirability of a targeted account.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop sound business cases for strategic priorities and initiatives, including cost and benefit analysis.
  • Help to develop the skill set and career path of any/all project managers on the team – organizes and gathers data to support performance reviews.
  • Read and follow design engineers’ instructions and specifications, maintain the scope of work on the project, make recommendations for changes as required and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Delegate tasks/projects and provide a management program encompassing all the details of a project to the team members.
  • Budget minded behaviors to review and ensure profitability on new, ongoing & completed projects.
  • Commitment to provide both a positive and safe working environment through reinforcement of behaviors, a solid understanding of job requirements and ensuring tools and equipment is on-hand.
  • Serve as a corporate liaison to champion cultural change by encouraging critical corporate initiatives, a positive work environment, the enhancement of organizational morale all with the goal to drive operational efficiency.
  • Team player that coordinates and communicates activities with other employees, departments, and management.
  • Willingness to answer customers via phone or email 24/7 and a high sense of urgency to respond to customers in a timely manner with accurate quotes, emergency outages and/or other requests.
