Business Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Mid-level position in the Program Management organization
  • Focused dedication of workload, managing controlled projects independently as well as in partnership with Program Manager, Business Analyst(s) and Technology
  • Serve as the point of contact for the Customer Account/Business Case project
  • Fully knowledgeable of Project Management best practices to apply the appropriate methodology to structure and manage projects that align with Business strategic plans successfully
  • Proficient in identifying, analyzing, tracking and monitoring of the Project using the proper tools and techniques for project scoping, risk identification, time management, resource management, communication management, Stakeholder management, testing and implementation
  • Proficient use of Project Management tools, such as, JIRA, MS Project, Sharepoint
  • Proficient use of Business Process and Analysis Improvements tools and techniques, such as Process Diagramming and Business Process Analysis Techniques
  • Ability to travel and manage project resources and activities across a geographically diverse organization
  • Maintain industry trends and regulation knowledge, such as Sox compliance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership of projects that are cross-functional and have a higher degree of complexity
  • Deliver of assigned projects within acceptable and agreed upon timeframes and quality standards that meet business and functional needs of the business and/or external customer
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently of different categories, such as, Business Units strategic projects, integration projects, process improvement projects and migration projects
  • Act as an Influencer and Change Agent to foster a Customer-centric, quality-oriented culture while driving measurable business improvements
  • Manage all phases of the project per the Project Life Cycle
  • Create/generate the proper project artifacts/documentation, such as Project Charter, Project Scope Statement, Project Plan/Timeline with Milestones, RAID log, RACI charts, Business Process Diagrams, Decision Tree, UAT Scripts, Testing Plan, Implementation Plan, etc., as the project progresses with the appropriate sign-offs from stakeholders
  • Maintain ownership of and accountability for the completion of the project
  • Manage all relationships necessary for a successful project team
  • Coordinates and facilitates project meetings
  • Negotiate with managers for project resources and other project needs
  • Provide guidance to other management organization on project management
  • Represent Program Management in cross-functional teams within the organization
  • Identify and recommend Business Improvements to existing processes and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or 7 years of equivalent experience. MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 2 years of Business Analysis and Process Improvement experience
  • Agile methodology knowledge and experience preferred
  • Technology knowledge – practice of implementing technology enabled solutions
  • Time Management, Communication and Organization skills are a MUST
