Has overall responsibility for the operation of the Business Office. Manages the hospital revenue cycle from registration to collection of accounts; including but not limited to assuring accounts receivable system has accurate information processed within acceptable limits and ensures the billing process is accurate and completed in timely fashion; including follow up on accounts as required. Maintains reports, files, and records. Researches billing rules and compliance with insurance rules and guidelines. Supervises business office staff.
Requirements:
- Understands medical billing rules and regulations
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and managerial skills
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills with both customers and staff
- Knowledge of quality and process improvement
- Ability to apply sound hospital business office and customer service skills and principles
- Ability to meet deadlines
Bachelorâs Degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
