Full Job Description
This is an entry level role great for college graduates!
You will be the primary owner of:
- Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, iteration planning meetings, retrospectives, etc.)
- The agile project tracking tool
- Improvements to the teamâs dev process
- Communication between the team and other teams/internal stakeholders
- Documentation (timelines, meetings, hours reports, etc.) (often using Confluence)
The average day for someone in this role might involve:
- Leading the teamâs morning standup
- Reaching out to connect folks or find out information to resolve any blockers
- Preparing for, and then facilitating, a meeting to help the team make a decision
- Answering questions about priorities and processes
- Distributing notes from a meeting
- Following up with stakeholders on some open questions
- Organizing stories in Pivotal Tracker
- Producing a project timeline, level of effort estimate, risk assessment, schedule, and budget
Required
- One or two (preferable) years of experience as a project manager, project coordinator, or business analyst at a software development company
- Passion and proficiency for spreadsheets, process, and documentation
- Interested in work that combines high level strategy with a strong focus on the details of day to day operations
- Comfortable working with a cross-disciplinary team of software developers, dev-ops engineers, product managers, QA engineers, and UI/UX designers
- Familiar with one or multiple agile frameworks and knows when to apply the right tool/process for the right job
- Can quickly prioritize across multiple streams of work in a fast paced environment
- Can both lead a team and act as an individual contributor by taking notes, running meetings, and creating scrum/agile artifacts
- Strong interest in communicating well and working to improve team happiness and health
- Able to motivate and hold different teams together, or help the team interface with a diverse group of colleagues and stakeholders
- Iterative and data-driven approach to process improvement
Preferred
- Experience with agile methodologies
- One year of relevant experience
- Experience with PM tools (trello, asana, jira)
- Knowledge of contracts, budgets, statements of work, and RFPs
