Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the position of V.P. Employee Services will lead all aspects of Human Resources and evolving the systems and support tools that will ensure operational success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Partnering with the executive team to manage and direct all aspects of the human resources, operating within the guidelines, philosophy, and culture of Regal Medical Group
- Promoting a fundamentally employee centered organization that is recognition focused
- Fostering positive employee relations while serving as liaison to field operations of all locations
- Advising management regarding appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
- Creating and implementing consistent employment and staffing practices including: application/interview/hiring processes, onboarding, background investigations, termination procedure, promotion of employees, performance evaluations, safety, sexual harassment prevention, diversity awareness and applicant tracking with EEO data collection
- Developing and continually refining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws such as FMLA, ADA, EEO, and record management; training managers on regulatory compliance and ensuring their accountability in following policies and procedures
- Directing the development and maintenance of human resource information systems to ensure appropriate, accurate and timely record keeping and reporting requirements are met
- Serving as Company representative in legal issues pertaining to personnel and ensuring proactive compliance with all federal and state laws
- Tracking and evaluating manager and associate turnover; analyzing trends of turnover
- Formalizing recruiting and retention plans to ensure the best possible candidates are hired and appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
- Facilitating the advancement of high potential employees within the Company
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Distribution of work:
- Daily production will vary from day to day. All assigned work must be completed by the end of business day in order to maintain turnaround time compliance.
Special Projects:
- Assist with any special projects.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in Human Resources
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree is preferred.
- SPHR a plus.
- Managed Care/Healthcare background preferred.
- Proven hands-on leadership experience with the key technical areas of human resources management including: staffing and recruitment, employee relations, compensation and pay-for-performance strategies, management coaching/ development and benefits administration.
- The drive to maintain the highest standards of excellence in all aspects of human resource management coupled with a genuine passion for the role.
- Working knowledge of federal and state of California legal guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Effective planning and time management skills, focusing on meeting deadlines and achieving desired results.
- The ability to create change and positively influence acceptance of new ideas.
- The skills to facilitate Company succession planning and work with the operations team to create developmental plans for high potential employees.
- Demonstrated ability to build teamwork and emphasize positive associate relations, while motivating employees to sustain high performance and quality levels.
- Personal characteristics that include; integrity, results-orientation, positive attitude, outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, and strong interpersonal skills.
