NFI is looking for a dynamic, forward thinking senior leader to spearhead its maintenance department. The Vice President of Fleet Maintenance will be the authority on technical maintenance and equipment specifications, including policies, procedures and standard repair processes. The role encompasses leadership in all aspects of fleet maintenance: Safety, Continuous Improvement, Preventative Maintenance Programs, Vendor Management, Customer Engagement, Uptime, and Regulatory Compliance.

Essential Responsibilities :
Lead and develop a strong team that assists with successful execution of company objectives.

Effectively lead the team responsibe for maintaining over 10,000 assets, including but not limited to tractors, trailers, forklifts, and refrigerated units

Works collaboratively with our customers to define value-add activities and ensure their needs are being met

Directs and manages our internal and external maintenance divisions, and represents the department when working with operations management and executive stakeholders.

Determines and implements strategic objectives, goals and objectives of the maintenance divisions.

Ensures work is performed in alignment with our company’s values; integrity and safety being at the forefront.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Minimum of ten (10) years of increasingly responsible experience in fleet asset maintenance (tractor, trailer, MHE) and/or in a relevant industry

Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to coordinate multiple group efforts within the company to achieve objectives. Conceptual/Systems Thinking: Recognizes patterns, trends, themes, and connections in information to develop innovative ideas and solutions
