Reporting to the Senior Vice President – Sales, the Vice President of Account Management leads the Account Management team that focuses on retention and growth for some of NFI’s most strategically important customers, ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met for both current and, most importantly, future needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages 5 to 10 medium to large sized accounts deemed strategically important based on size, potential expansion, and overall integrated use of NFI operating divisions.

Supports strategic account communication between NFI and assigned accounts as necessary.

Manages, plans, organizes and leads continued customer interactions, while ensuring customer satisfaction for long-term retention and growth is achieved.

Resolves customer questions and concerns through the delegation and engagement of necessary NFI resources.

Manages the progress of open issues and projects to ensure timely resolution and completion.

Coordinates the involvement of NFI personnel including sales, operations, and shared services, in order to deliver expected performance. Organizes meetings and provides updates as appropriate.

Achieves assigned strategic customer objectives – aligning both the goals of NFI and its customers.

Develops and implements key performance criteria within a customer roadmap which measures and reports performance, cost, and areas of opportunities.

Builds network of both executive and operational customer professional relationships.

Coordinates all strategic meetings with customer(s) and NFI including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Annual Business Reviews (ABRs) for identified customers within the account management program.

Implements account communication and alignment matrices that ensure high business renewal rates and customer engagement.

Identifies and reports “at risk” accounts, with escalation to senior management, and allocating appropriate resources where required.

Maintains a proactive approach to meeting deliverables, timely execution, and thoughtful customer engagement.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

5 to 10 years in supply chain management with a focus on distribution and fleet disciplines.

Ability to coach and manage 4+ direct reports including both Account Management Directors and Account Management Managers.

Collaborative approach – both internal and external.

Prior experience managing complex key accounts with minimal support strongly preferred.

Ability to work as a valued member of a team and establish effective relationships.

Ability to multi-task effectively, managing multiple account issues needing resolution.

Excellent communicator (verbal and written)

Internal and External Executive Leadership Behavior with a heightened sense of urgency

Demonstrated ability to interact and influence all levels of an organization.
