About the Role:

A deep understanding of current and future business questions is required for a data strategist to successfully identify what data is needed, how it can be obtained and how it should be managed. Supported by an analytics function, proving value is essential for new data approaches to be adopted at scale
Situated within the Universal Domestic Theatrical Marketing team, this role will be involved in delivering value on individual movie campaigns, as well as supporting the longer term data strategy roadmap across the studio.
Some of the things we’d like you to do:
- Develop and deploy engaging data capture mechanics across studio marketing efforts – including loyalty /CRM and marketing partner integrations
- Continue to develop the ad technology roadmap with a focus on audience data management, global alignment and supporting governing processes
- Shape Universal’s owned data analytics technology stack to enable advanced data science and unlock time saving reporting across marketing
- Lead the adoption and data privacy policies within the marketing organization, supported by the central technology and compliance team
- Identify new data use cases within media activation, aligned to the strategic marketing objectives identified on each title
- Represent the studio’s requirements to help develop NBCUniversal’s first party data and technology assets

- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience working in digital marketing or media.
- At least three (3) years’ experience within the entertainment industry.
- Experience with Google Marketing Platform, YouTube, Facebook Insights & Business Manager, Amazon Advertising Platform, and social platforms such as Snapchat, Twitter, etc.

- Experience working within or with Film Studios is highly preferred but not required.
- Masters level qualification in marketing, social sciences, or computer sciences is highly preferred.
- A clearly demonstrated passion for data science, media and marketing technology
- Proven understanding of the global privacy landscape with experience educating teams on new governing policies and processes.
- Strong critical thinking skills and a natural affinity for numbers with the proven ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Track record of project management, with the ability to drive forward complex initiatives across multiple teams and geographies.
- Highly developed interpersonal, team building and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to translate complex information into digestible formats and deliver impactful presentations to senior marketing and business leaders across the organization.
- Demonstrated experience with Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake, and supporting visualization tools.
- Experience with publisher landscape including direct and programmatic media buying methods
- International experience, working with teams outside US, is preferred.
- A clear love of movies and broader filmed entertainment
