    Technical Director Position Description

    Creative Arts Director

    The Technical Director is responsible for audio, lighting, and projection systems in large meeting spaces on the First MB campus, and the use of those systems for events and worship services.

    The Big Picture:
    *
    The TD leads a team to operate front-of-house audio, lighting, camera, and projection during weekend worship services and events in large meeting spaces. Includes providing support for rehearsals.

    The TD recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers.

    *
    The TD is the system engineer for audio, lighting, and projections systems in

    the Worship Center, Activity Center, and Amphitheater.

    *
    The TD manages the annual Tech Ministry budget and participates in the

    budget request process each year.

    Specific Responsibilities

    – Audio mixing for weekend worship services

    – Oversee audio mixing, monitor mixing and audio recording for all large events requiring PA

    – Lighting design and operation

    – Remote camera operation and live-stream production

    – ProPresenter/Powerpoint including video/audio file integration

    – Prepare stage/performance areas for rehearsals, worship services, events – Shares with the Facility Manager the responsibility for A/V support for funerals and weddings
