Role and Responsibilities LP Service Manager Job Purpose: primary responsibilities include supervising day-to-day operations of lp service group
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Maintain quality, compliance and control of the service-related inventory
Manage the service vehicle fleet which includes coordinating vehicle preventative maintenance, repairs, scheduling and licensing
Design and ensure execution of service processes and procedures
Coach, motivate and energize the Service team which includes monitoring employee performance, implementing individual development plans/ activities and initiating/coordinating training
Ensure effective coordination with Customer Service, Distribution and Sales functions
Perform regular audits on service work and installations to insure adherence to NFPA and company regulations
Coordinate and supervise service technician execution in all daily activities
Monitor and assure compliance all regulatory and company policy requirements
Provide coaching to service technicians on improving driving behavior through SmartDrive observations
Provide input and support to Service Center Manager/Regional Manager during associate performance reviews
Conduct monthly safety meetings and address unsafe practices
Assist Service Center Manager/Regional Manager in controlling overtime hours and associate staffing plan
Maintain appropriate asset and product loss controls and report/reconcile any variances
Ensure company policies and business processes are implemented and enforced
Ensure all centrally scheduled service call commitments are honored
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS: Interested Applicants should possess:
Strong leadership skills, team player, quality and service focus, problem solving, basic office equipment and Microsoft Office product knowledge, and the ability to work effectively across organizational lines to achieve results. Experienced driver or service technician who can help build and develop a highly functioning and collaborating team
Education and Functional Requirements
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and five (5) years of related supervisory experience
Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean Six Sigma techniques preferred
Ability to lead others through challenges, obstacles, deadlines and changes with a positive result
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer service organization and results-driven culture
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
Ability to utilize financial and operational data to drive fact-based decisions and performance improvement
Good written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to motivate and lead individuals and teams to continuously improve performance and effectiveness
Commitment to individual and associate professional development
CETP certifications 1.0 Basic Principles & Practices: 4.1 Designing & Installing Vapor Distribution Systems, , 4.2 Placing Vapor Distribution Systems & Appliances into Operation
Willingness to work flexible schedule as seasonal demand fluctuates
