The Role

The Enterprise Framework Office (EFO) is a new team, sitting within the Strategic Execution and Operations Office(SEO), responsible for identifying, developing, operationalizing, and executing strategic initiatives to align various frameworks into a unified Enterprise Framework allowing for end-to-end transparency across the Enterprise through the normalization and connection of disparate data sets. This team will enable Enterprise views to enhance risk reduction, identify efficiency opportunities and provide business insights to make informed strategic decisions. EFO is responsible for driving enterprise-wide transformation by identifying the core components for integration, designing the operational model, building a robust change management strategy, and establishing enterprise-wide governance including the creation of policies and procedures for standardizing the overarching Enterprise framework model.

The Head of Enterprise Framework Methodology and Execution will report directly to the Head of the Enterprise Framework Office. This leader will lead a team responsible for:

  • Defining the overarching framework methodology including guiding principles;
  • Working closely with the Enterprise Framework Platform Design & Integration team to design the approach to aligning the various components that will become part of the overarching Enterprise framework model;
  • Designing and implementing a robust operating model inclusive of roles & responsibilities and an overarching interaction model
  • Defining foundational definitions to which the Enterprise will anchor; and
  • Executing change management strategies and acting as a change liaison across framework component teams.

This leader will partner with the business, operational and risk leaders, technology amongst others to develop the long term BAU processes.

Locations: Charlotte, NC; San Francisco, CA; Des Moines, IA; Other major metropolitan areas will be considered


The Candidate

These roles will have significant exposure to executive leadership. The incumbent may interact directly with regulators representing Wells Fargo. This role will report directly to the Head of the Enterprise Framework Office and be accountable for hiring, retaining, and developing a diverse, strategic, and execution oriented team.

The successful candidate will work closely with other senior leaders across Independent Risk Management, Corporate Functions and the Front Line (including Front Line Control Executives) in the development and execution of company risk management strategies. Accordingly, critical success factors will include the ability to develop partnerships with many business and functional areas and provide execution excellence for Independent Risk Management.

The successful incumbent should also have understanding of the current environment. Having an understanding of enterprise taxonomies and inventories currently exist, how they are used, where they are used, and existing relationships and alignment to those inventories.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
  • 8+ years of management experience in a planning environment


Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experienced in or an understanding of our internal risk framework including Independent Risk Management, first and second lines of defense
  • Experience with developing or implementing risk management strategies
  • Knowledge of or understanding of enterprise taxonomies or inventories and how and when they are used
  • Regulatory experience including interacting directly with regulators preferred
  • Superior verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills including experience partnering with leaders across all level
  • Strong relationship management skills to include effectively working with leaders across various levels including executive leadership
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior and executive leaders and simplify the complex
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including executive management, regulators and internal auditors
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
