JOB SUMMARY:

As a Senior Director of Enterprise Applications, the ideal candidate will be a member of our leadership team who will be responsible for the management of system delivery and support. The Senior Director of Enterprise Applications will be comfortable building and leading a team responsible for the deployment and maintenance of these applications, including SAP and other core systems of record.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for delivering innovative IT solutions across all portfolio companies
  • Create governance policies to ensure that ongoing change management activities are successfully planned and executed in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • champion ongoing department wide process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT leaders to ensure a seamless delivery of enterprise applications across the firm
  • Partner with internal business leaders to define the needs and priorities of the firm while determining the best use of internal and external resources
  • Communicate effectively to make sure priorities are defined and aligned with business goals
  • Responsible for the daily support of SAP and its ancillary data integration and other key enterprise applications
  • Negotiates contractual agreements with external professional service provider.
  • Influence the future enterprise application direction
  • Proactively manages any system outages and provides clear root cause analysis reports.
  • Responsible for providing high quality customer service to business departments (internal customers) at all levels

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects of high complexity to successful completion while maintaining success across multiple concurrent projects
  • Able to manage the flow of incoming invoices and track actuals to budgeted goals for efficient status updates.
  • Expert-level knowledge with administering an enterprise-wide SAP environment (and open to considering the latest cloud-based products for future application deliveries)
  • Experience managing IT projects with deep understanding of how technology can enable business processes and results
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable, experienced, and accomplished at working with business executives, and able to diplomatically push back and educate leaders at all levels
  • Ability to be an advocate for new enterprise solutions or applications that will help boost the business’ objective
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills, and efficient time management ability.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field of study
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology delivery and support, with 4+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of systems implementation and support best practices, standards, and frameworks
  • Proven track record and experience in developing information technology systems, policies and procedures, as well as successfully executing programs that meet the objectives of excellence in a dynamic business environment
  • Financial Services industry experience strongly preferred
  • Extensive experience with packaged and custom systems development and support; deep expertise with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) required

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Professional project management certification highly desirable (PMP or similar)
