The M&A Office is seeking a Senior Director for M&A Services to work in our Alpharetta, GA or Las Colinas, TX location.

The Senior Director IT Mergers & Acquisitions Office is accountable for the strategic execution of IT related due diligence and integration/separation activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. The role is also accountable for strong business partnership and communication, execution of IT strategy within M&A, while ensuring the strategic objectives of all deals are accomplished. The role will have exposure to executive management at McKesson Technology , with regular interactions with a variety of stakeholders in the organization, and as such, must professionally and clearly communicate and manage expectations at all levels. The person in this role must make decisions accounting for the strategic direction of McKesson and IT given the medium and long term impacts it will have o n the success of the company. Individual leads the McKesson Technology M&A team on a day-to-day basis and works closely with McKesson Technology L eaders and target IT stakeholders to align expectations and ensure project success. They are knowledgeable with respect to M&A techniques and advises on the M&A strategy. They also have a broad understanding of the transactions shared services and the functional requirements of the deal . This individual would manage the Transition S ervice Agreement ( TSA ) pl ans and executive oversight for an existing multi-year joint venture .

They are comfortable mapping McKesson Technology services /solutions to the transaction, leading due diligence , developing logical integration/ separation strategies and leading direct & indirect reports across diverse teams.

  • Lead and keep confidential IT due diligence activities, leveraging the right technical resources at the right time to accurately scope and budget.

  • Diligence includes requesting and reviewing information, preparing diligence readouts outlining key risks, mitigation plans and full integration program.

  • Provides financial estimates on integration costs across IT infrastructure, business applications and cyber security.

  • Understand and raise business and execution risks related to IT in deal diligence, execution, integration and operations post-close. Considerations include deal structure (asset/equity), current and end state IT operations, potential legal risks, etc.

  • Manages executive stakeholder expectations and provides communication of status and issues across business and IT stakeholders. Escalates issues , on behalf of the team, appropriately with the right executives.

  • Manages a team of IT M&A leaders accountable for the successful integration/separation initiatives/actions to meet business needs and requirements, leveraging relationships and Agile processes with IT.

  • Build and manage a high-performing team to deliver continually high customer satisfaction, productivity and team member engagement related to this role.

  • Coordinate activities amongst direct reports within management scope.

  • Provide M&A guidance, standards, objectives and management practic es.

McKesson has grown, in great part, through its acquisition of companies both small and large. On average, the company undertakes two to three acquisitions a year, and the successful candidate will play an integral role in necessary risk assessment of target companies (due diligence), manage high-performing teams that oversee successful execution of M&A solutions for newly acquired or divested entities.

The successful candidate will bring a blend of managing high-performing teams, IT M&A experience, understanding of due diligence assessments, transition service agreement development and integration knowledge to the role and will possess experience in matrixed organizations.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of M&A management processes. Strong writing, negotiation and presentation skills. Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value. Prior professional services or management consulting experience is highly desired.
