Full Job Description
Summary: Responsible for the execution and delivery of the strategic plan at the regional level across all FM products. Accountable for ownership of Operational Excellence, Operational Finance and Service Execution through process management, training and development and KPI management. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Typical Responsibilities:
  • Positively affect regional P&L through daily management of the key KPI’s across operational execution and financial performance.
  • Drive effective onboarding and implementation of new business in the station operations environment.
  • Deliver continuous focus and improvement of existing business to optimize customer satisfaction and financial return to the company.
  • Ensure operational structures are in place to meet company objectives and coordinate effective escalation capabilities to drive execution, accountability and resolution at all levels
  • Provide the region with guidance, leadership and overall support on any issues relating to the promotion, sale and service of the products.
  • Identify opportunity for improvement through systems or process enhancement and/or people training and development.
  • Govern alignment between Operations and Business Development to develop customer relationships and ensure that customer service and operational levels within the region are at expectation.
  • Work directly with the regional station management to establish station product budgets in accordance with the regional guidelines and goals. Conduct monthly reviews of Station and overall Regional P&L performance and establish short-term goals to address budgetary shortfalls.
  • Responsible for service levels and operational efficiency of major suppliers as measured through KPIs documented through a Balanced Scorecard and reviewed on a monthly basis.
  • Deliver carrier relationship strategy as set by product leadership to grow and support the regions cargo portfolio of customers, new and current.
  • Ensure the region and stations comply with all company policies across all functions.
  • Ensure region and station employees are trained and knowledgeable on the product and provide focused spot training as needed. Ensure station personnel are trained and proficient in IT related software and systems.
  • Personally coach, train and mentor direct reports to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met. Address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies of the company.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking and participation in professional organizations.
  • Focus on delivering a best practice culture to the organization through alignment with peers, counterpart and industry solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred or an equivalent combination of work experience. Minimum seven to ten years related Industry experience required. Minimum five years supervisory or management experience required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of all products and services.
  • Strong background in sales and marketing and a proven track record in business development and growth.
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving through use of data and information metrics and improvement to performance process. Demonstrated success in managing (KPI’s) Key Performance Indicators.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies with a focus on managing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals. Ability to manage the financial aspects of the region including purchasing, budget preparation and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications and the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and customers.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, supervising, managing and developing managers, senior staff and high performance teams.
  • Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation and negotiating skills. Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy and patience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate, and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments.
Travel: Travel is required up to 50% of the time and is within the U.S.
