POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Director is an upper-level management position responsible for the overall operation of the retail stores within their assigned geographic region, usually 6-10 store locations. The individual in this position is responsible for profitability, expense control, inventory, loss control and management of employees for both retail and food service operations at multiple store locations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Train, coach and evaluate store managers and other personnel on a regular basis.
  • Use approved techniques to coach and motivate employees for maximum retention.
  • Strive to develop and maintain a superior level of customer service by using professional and proper management techniques in all words and actions.
  • Monitor sales activities to ensure excellent customer service and delivery of quality products.
  • Assign employees to specific duties and directs the compliance of workers with established company policies and procedures.
  • Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.
  • Coordinate sales and promotional activities of store managers as established by the Marketing team.
  • Accept ultimate responsibility to ensure the continuous operation of any store in his/her assigned georgraphical region including being available to respond to store emergencies at any time the need arises.
  • Enforce safety, health, and security rules and ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulatory agencies.
  • Review and analyze store operations on a regular basis and implement corrective action to comply with regulatory and Company standards.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate personnel in assigned retail locations, promoting or dismissing workers when appropriate.
  • Perform work activities of subordinates on a limited basis, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise to promote team-building efforts. Will be available to support the needs of their managers and staff.
  • Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for their store locations.
  • Support planned advertising campaigns and sales promotions, and prepare merchandise displays and advertising copy.
  • Confer with company officials to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets, and promote business.
  • Coordinates, reviews and verifys regular price surveys at company-owned outlets as well as competitive retail outlets, including gasoline and general merchandise.
  • Estimate consumer demand and determine the types and amounts of goods to be sold.
  • Plan and conduct monthly meetings with store level leadership.
  • Provide business support to store leadership.
  • Support Food Service processes.
  • Review store reports to ensure the completion of required processes.
  • Develop and plan store processes to facilitate improvement.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience: 5+ years management experience

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Basic PC skills

Certifications & Licenses: Valid & Active Driver’s License Acceptable driving record (as reported by the MVR)
