What you’ll be doing…

This position is responsible for assisting the project management team to complete projects to grow and improve the Verizon Wireless network. You will interact with multiple teams to move projects along from inception to completion in a timely manner. Must be knowledgeable of databases, Microsoft Office applications, web-based application, and software tool packages. Need close attention to detail. Provide monthly/weekly reporting on project status and completions. Must have excellent organizational, project management, and communications skills. Must be self-motivated, show initiative, and be able to work independently. Must be highly productive and able to manage several tasks and projects simultaneously. Will be responsible for the following tasks.

  • Assist with setting up projects in systems and tracking them to completion.
  • Working in project management tools and updating data.
  • Completing tasks and working with team to have their tasks completed in workflow tool.
  • Preparing weekly list of project activations.
  • Reviewing list of projects and submitting monthly activation forecasts.
  • Analyze existing projects and identify bottle necks and delays.
  • Work with teams to resolve issues and move projects along.

Programs to manage include but are not limited to:

  • Cell Site Modifications including battery, power, HVAC, and other miscellaneous upgrades.
  • 5G carrier additions, 4G carrier additions, antenna modifications and sector additions to existing cell sites. Most projects include radio and antenna upgrades and require real estate, RF, regulatory, construction, and network assurance achieve their milestones in order to complete.
  • New cell site additions. Projects will include both green field and tower co-locations. All projects require real estate, RF, regulatory, construction, and network assurance achieve their milestones in order to complete.
  • IEN (Intelligent Edge Network) Hub conversions.
  • Projects will include upgrading cell site infrastructure of existing or newly leased sites to meet documented network standard requirements. This initiative will also require project manager be familiar with all regional programs, especially 5G, to ensure current and future projects do not cause the hub to fall out of network standard requirements.
  • Responsible for identifying key milestones, key milestone durations, and key milestone owners and be able to report how owners are performing against agreed upon durations for all programs being managed.
  • Project manager will be interfacing with most disciplines within Engineering and their vendors as well as Network Assurance and their vendors. The candidate will develop relationships with all teams and drive results.


What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with cell site integration processes.
  • Experience in Project Management.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Arts or a technical discipline.
  • Experience with real estate milestones and processes.
  • Wireless network project management experience.
  • A Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
  • Strong analytic, technical, and organizational skills.
