Position Summary:

The Project Manager at Bentley focuses not only on the traditional project management skills of delivering projects on time and on budget but also on supporting our users’ adoption and resulting success with Bentley applications. The position is an external-facing role that serves as the primary point of contact for our accounts during Bentley’s professional services engagements and as such, the project manager represents the core values of our company. The project manager is a leader in promoting adoption and advancement of Bentley’s implemented solution.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Coordination between technical experts, account managers, engineers, and senior management
  • Preparation of project scopes of work, schedule plans, acceptance criteria, and cost estimates for services components of proposals
  • Direct coordination with the project manager for the Bentley account to include project performance monitoring and reporting, management of project execution plans, and issues & risk management
  • Change management as dictated by Bentley’s project methodology to track changes to the project scope, schedule, quality, and budget
  • Stakeholder management as dictated by Bentley’s project methodology to identify, assess, and manage stakeholder relationships and communication
  • Risk management as dictated by Bentley’s project methodology to identify, evaluate, and monitor risks and their associated mitigation and contingency plans
  • Issues management as dictated by Bentley’s project methodology to identify, track, and resolve project issues
  • Project resource management using Bentley’s PSA tool to create project roles and allocate Bentley personnel, as well as leadership for the Bentley project team
  • Budget management including invoicing support, monitoring project performance against baseline, revenue forecasting, and support for revenue recognition
  • Leadership for the transition to software technical support upon completion of product roll‐out at the user site
  • Leadership for project lessons learned sessions and updates to the knowledge repository
  • Project reporting to include status reports, internal forecast reports, and budget reports, as well as project review presentations


What You Bring To The Team:

  • Formal Education – Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field
  • 5+ years project management experience
  • PMP certification
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
  • Experience with virtual project teams
  • Oil & Gas industry experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience delivering projects for formal external contracts
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term associations based on trust
