RS Automation is a supplier of automated machinery/Robotics, process systems, automated equipment, mechanical services to the Food and Dairy, medical, and custom fabricated equipment. The position is a technical manager for a project based organization. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the scope, costs and schedules of multiple projects. As the project’s lead customer contact and the projects team manager, the project manager will direct all project activities, project communications, leading the efforts of diverse, multi-disciplined, cross functional teams. The project manager’s primary objective is to manage all aspects of the project scope, performance to schedule and performance to budget as it is defined by the project scope, and RS Automation project methodologies and procedures. The project manager will be expected to travel when needed to ensure project execution and performance.
Project Management of process and automated equipment, Machining, Fabrication, electrical control panel assembly, all phases of the equipment development and deployment. Project phases include: Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, System Design, System Control, Procurement, Manufacturing, Assembly, Debug, Factory Acceptance Testing, Installation, Site Acceptance Testing and Project Closeout. Duties include project initiating, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closeout.
*The Project Manager must be able to communicate and effectively coordinate between multiple departments while demonstrating these key capabilities within the Project Management Framework:
*Ability to understand system designs and recognize sound designs
*Ability to communicate with all management: Customers, Department Managers, design leads and the machining and manufacturing teams.
*Ability to make sound effective decisions in the best interest of the Project and/or Company objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree and or a technical discipline in mechanical or electrical is a plus
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus
