Full Job Description
Primary Purpose
As the Project Manager you are responsible for maintaining all grounds maintenance operations in a safe and effective manner. The Project Manager will manage all resources of the Grounds Department including equipment, materials and have direct oversight of all of the grounds maintenance staff.
Responsibilities
- Report daily to the Operations Manager.
- Recruit, hire and schedule employees.
- Make daily grounds maintenance assignments in accordance with work schedule.
- Ability to perform and/or manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities.
- Perform and supervise pesticide and herbicide applications.
- Strong attention to detail, passion for excellence and a great attitude.
- Supervise and monitor all grounds maintenance employees in various locations
- Perform quality control for the entire project
- Send daily reports highlighting productivity
- Perform safety inspections
- Enforce company policies
- Perform disciplinary action if needed
- Send all receipts and invoices directly to company headquarters
- Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition and that all safe guards are in place
- Manage operation efficiently and safely while creating higher productivity standards
- Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, and carry equipment that weighs over 35 pounds for extended periods of time
Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand English
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to establish effective working relationships at different levels
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment
- Valid Driver’s License
