All Weather Architectural Aluminum is a custom window and door manufacturer located in Vacaville, CA, that has been in business since 1969. We have an immediate opening for a Materials Manager. The Materials Manager is responsible for all material planning, purchasing, receiving, storage, and control of raw material, WIP, and finished goods. Purchasing and production control of the manufacturing facility. They are responsible for ensuring appropriate levels of materials are available and properly controlled.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelorâs Degree (BA) in a related field or equivalent
Experience:
- 4 plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Just In Time (J.I.T.) inventory management knowledge preferred
- Perpetual Inventory Systems implementation experience preferred
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with computer operations (MS Word & Excel, and Outlook)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Leads planning, procurement, and material functions including shipping and receiving, stockroom, and inventory control.
- Develops and manages MRP and ERP systems implementations.
- Coordinates resolution of material related issues with the appropriate departments and/or suppliers to endure availability of required materials.
- Monitors and manages supplier performance
- Communicates performance issues and manages significant problem areas to ensure improvements.
- Supports group objectives for material cost reduction, Supplier ODT, inventory reduction, supplier quality, and supplier lead times.
- Ensures inventory control techniques, procedures, and best practices are followed
- Coordinates with other functional groups as needed.
- Advises management on long- and short-term supply chain strategies.
- Preforms supervisory responsibilities including, but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, and addressing complaints or concerns; resolving problems.
- Directly supervises 3 employees with the Purchasing/Receiving departments.
- Keeps other related duties as assigned by management.

This job operates in a warehouse/production environment, and offsite. Some administrative task will require tome spent in an office setting.
