Basic Function of the Position:
- Act as a program manager for CTA staff, the association, volunteer leaders at the division board, committee or working group level, and
- members of the assigned product divisions, councils and working groups.
- Critical Duties and Responsibilities: (List the most critical duties and responsibilities of the position from most critical to least critical.)
- Function as manager for Divisions, Division Boards and/or Councils, and as needed for committees and working groups. Organize meetings, develop agendas and create meeting materials. Provide facilitation, direction, clarification and mediation during meetings.
- Act as an âindustry advocateâ to represent the needs and interests of Divisions and CTA members at the industry and market level as well as within CTA. Identify and understand industry categories, including determining their needs, opportunities, emerging technologies and marketplace trends.
- Develops internal and external consensus on issues. Stays abreast of Division needs by attending industry trade shows, conferences and events.
- Implement CTA strategic goals set forth by CTA management and volunteer leaders to promote the growth and success of CTA and the industry.
- Establish short- and long-term goals through facilitation of strategic planning. Develop action agendas for the Divisions and Division
- Boards that include timelines for the development and implementation of strategic programs, projects and activities that meet their goals.
- Facilitate, direct and coordinate interdepartmental initiatives and activities related to communication, promotion, marketing, conferences, CES, market and consumer research, government affairs and membership benefits.
- Work with Membership team to create recruitment and retention plans through digital campaigns, phone calls, company visits and participation at trade shows and industry events.
- Recognize CTA and industry needs by establishing new working groups and volunteer opportunities.
- Other duties as required by business needs and assigned by the department head.
Work Experience:
4-6 years of appropriate work experience including membership/service experience, and program management.
Previous association, consumer electronics industry, or sales and marketing experience a plus.
Education/Training:
Undergraduate degree preferably in business, marketing or related field.

- Must be able to travel.
Budget and Staff:
Develop and maintain annual operating budgets for Divisions and associated member groups typically in the order of $20K-$50K each. Exercise fiscal responsibility at CTA staff and division board level for allocation of division and/or subdivision discretionary funds.
