As part of the IT PMO team, the IT Project Manager will partner with our SAP System Integrator to manage the SAP implementation project and other IT projects as defined. The IT Project Manager will lead, define and establish project portfolio management best practices to ensure IT project managers adhere to defined best practices and improve the overall project management maturity of the IT organization. The position will report to the Director, ERP and Business.
Proactively lead and drive cross functional project teams to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements for assigned projects, primarily SAP related.
Create and execute comprehensive project plans to include scope, schedule, budget, procurement, resources, risk management, and quality requirements.
Work closely with implementation partner project management and consultants.
Communicate and document project status directly to stakeholder’s at all organizational levels.
Hold project team accountable for deadlines and commitments.
Coach and mentor individuals on project management methodologies and competencies.
Assist in developing roadmap and evolving project management maturity.
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Five (5) years’ of experience for both IT projects and production support
Five (5) years’ of experience managing SAP systems integrations in a manufacturing environment
Project experience in at least 2 full life cycle ERP projects including cutover planning and execution, change management and command center operations.
Experience managing integration partners
Strong knowledge of MS Project, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
Familiarity with SAP ECC 6.0
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to write in a clear and concise manner
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines through prioritization of tasks
Ability to build professional relationships and cross functional teams.
Project Management certification
Familiarity with Test Management tools (HP Quality Center)
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
