ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieves project results (time, scope, and budget) through the project team.
  • Participate in pricing projects and RFP responses.
  • Leads multi-disciplined teams in the delivery of new business start-ups and other projects.
  • Assembles project schedule from base information and is responsible for working with each functional area for developing their portion of the schedule (IT, Operations, Payroll, HR, Safety/Security, Contracts, etc.).
  • Leads weekly status calls with the customer and with the internal team.
  • Works with Project Sponsors to ensure alignment between RMS and customer.
  • Develops and presents options in a concise manner when roadblocks are reached.
  • Ensures deliverables are met as defined in the project in order to achieve success.
  • Establishes and manages risk mitigation and issue resolution plans.
  • Perform time studies – systematic observations, analysis, and measurement of separate steps in the performance of a specific job for the purpose of establishing a standard time for each performance, improving procedures, and increasing productivity. Track and report performance metrics, action items, issues, and risks.
  • Challenge “business as usual” using a fact-based, objective mindset.
  • Prepare status reports and presentations suitable for varied audiences.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal staff to ensure effective communication with all related functional areas.
  • Perform others requests and duties as assigned by the General Manager or upper level management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures, in addition to safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of general warehouse work instructions, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to see the overall picture.
  • Ability to use good judgment when determining to escalate issues and options.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the business organizations.
  • Ability to set goals and implement plan to achieve.
  • Ability to solve problems and adapt to situations requiring solutions to unforeseen circumstances.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant work experience as an IEPM.
  • Experience with WMS, Labor Management, PowerPoint, Access, and development with labor standards experience is preferred.
  • Three (3) plus years of industrial engineering project management and warehouse operations experience preferred.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Varied working conditions between controlled and uncontrolled environments. Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces. Travel will be required, up to 10%.
