As Global Head of the Learning & Organization Development (L&OD) team, you will design and build the learning strategy as part of the total Talent Experience vision. Your L&OD team will support the global Autodesk community of lifelong learners by offering services and solutions that promote awareness (learning), improve ways of working (organizational development), and impact individual, team, and organizational growth (program design). You will report into the VP of Talent, Culture & Diversity and work closely with Talent Experience colleagues to activate The Autodesk Culture Code into how our people work every day.
Responsibilities
- Building a Clear Strategy and Architecting the Learning Plan
- Championing the Talent Experience Vision
- Developing strategic plans that detail L&OD’s role in executing that vision
- Building plans for operationalizing the strategy in partnership with the Talent Experience team and business stakeholders
- Setting standards for how L&OD work gets done within the team, with Autodesk colleagues, and with external partners
- Planning for talent and budget requirements to scale with the needs of lifelong learners and business priorities
- Creating guidance plans for global counterparts to use in the adaptation and/or implementation of L&OD solutions and services
- Revising strategic and operational plans yearly to keep pace with evolving trends in learning, future of work, and Autodesk’s business
- Creating, Defining and Measuring the Value of Learning
- Developing L&OD solutions and service portfolios aligned with learner needs and business priorities
- Productizing L&OD portfolios, including the creating of marketing strategies and collateral
- Mapping an engagement plan to educate stakeholders on why, when, and how to leverage learning and organization development
- Fostering healthy collaborative partnerships with learners, business leaders, Talent Experience peers, and learning colleagues
- Measuring the impact of L&OD services and solution on individual and organizational performance
- Gathering feedback on the value L&OD is providing to learners and the business and incorporating those insights into continual improvement plans
- Empowering the Team
- Nurturing a healthy, engaging, and productive culture within the L&OD team
- Managing the L&OD team members in their responsibilities to deliver learning, OD, and design services and solutions.
- Coaching team members on their personal development paths, both within learning and organization development and beyond
- Recruiting and hiring new team members to meet the evolving needs of the business
- Conducting team member performance reviews in accordance with Autodesk Talent Experience requirements
- Providing Thought Leadership
- Staying current with trends in the future of work, needs of lifelong learners, learning technology, and associated topics
- Serving as an internal consultant to provide insight and expertise
- Collaborating with Autodesk business and functional learning leaders to explore, debate, and define what “good” learning and OD looks like for our global community.
- Maintaining shared principles to guide decision making, design, and delivery of learning and OD solutions across the enterprise.
- Communicating Autodesk’s journey into the future of learning both inside and outside the organization
Minimum Qualifications
- Lifelong learner committed to personal growth
- Operator with demonstrated experience turning big ideas into measurable results
- Credentials in learning at work, organizational development, human-centric design, behavioral psychology or related fields granted from traditional or non-traditional educational institution(s)
- Passion for the future of work and fluent in what that means for innovative organizations
- Adept at building and managing teams in high growth environments
- Ability to productize and market learning services and solutions
- Thrives working in conditions of ambiguity, complexity, and emergent change
- Community organizer mindset that shows up in the ability to develop compelling business cases, create consensus, marshal resources, and motivate others to action
